How to reach Rangpo
By Air :> The airport closest to Rangpo is about 124 kms away in Bagdogra, West Bengal. From the airport, you can take a private vehicle or a shared taxi that will get you to Rangpo in a matter of two hours. From Bagdogra, you can also take a “TSA helicopter” to get to Rangpo. On the other hand, their service depends on the climate conditions. Chopper flights also get cancelled on the pretext of not enough bookings.
By Train : The closest railway station to Rangpo is about 148 kms away in New Jalpaiguri in Siliguri. The station is well linked to major cities like New Delhi and Kolkata. From New Jalpaiguri you can go to “Siliguri Bus Station”, catch a state run bus to Rangpo, which will take you around 5 to 6 hours or hire a taxi to Rangpo.
By Road : Tourists rolling in from close by places like Kalimpong, Kolkata, Darjeeling, and Siliguri prefer to drive to Rangpo. The roads are well maintain, except in a few place.
